Failure is much more than just falling on your face and starting over. Getting up and starting over is actually the pretty easy part. Failure goes much deeper and personal.
When I started off on my blogging journey, I wasn’t sure where to begin. I read book after book about marketing, business, PR, networking and on and on. I talked to friends and people who had started a business. I was on the internet all damn night reading other peoples blogs, commenting on anything I read, I was reading beauty blogs and tech blogs. I felt desperate and pathetic. I felt like a teenager trying to fit in and be liked.
Here’s to today. The complainers, the whiners, the entitled, the gimme society, the easily offended, it’s not my opinion it’s my “I’m right and your wrong” mentality. It’s out of control and the outlook isn’t promising.
We all reach that breaking point. Some, sadly, keep it in. Holding it in will destroy you. You need to fall apart at some point.
One of the hardest things for us, is to tell the truth. It’s the hardest yet the most liberating. You would think that being honest and telling the truth when asked would be the easiest thing. Sadly, far from it.
Labels create something. They make nothing, something. When we label something it takes on a life of it’s own and creates meaning and shape. Causing unneeded and unnecessary stress.
Have you ever used a Hot Toddy to get over a cold? It seems like this is the old fashioned way of dealing with a cold. I understand why it’s old fashion but I think we should bring it back.
