I have never been the one to go to a restaurant, have a dish and figure out how to make it at home. I always thought, why would you make it at home if you could go to the restaurant? They do it and do it right. It’s their recipe. They came up with it. That’s why you go. Because it’s good and you don’t have to make it at home. That was the old me.
Most people loved Friday’s at school because it was rectangle pizza day. This did nothing for me. I would grab the lunch menu for the month and give it a quick scan, BAM! Weenie-Winks, third Wednesday of the month! I was over joyous probably more than I should have been. Make your jokes but when you’re a fatty-fatty-boom-boom anything that combines meat, cheese and rolled up in bread and baked. Hold on….I need a moment….
I really felt like having a nice lunch with myself so I made this beautiful light salad just in time for the kick off of summer. I originally wanted to call it Half Assed Tomato Mozzarella Salad but my inner voice told me not too. This is the same voice that tells me it’s OK to stalk the guy at the deli. I really need to find new personalities.
