Everyone loves crumble. I said everyone! Don’t argue with me, it will make this post a lot easier. I wanted to make vanilla ice cream with blueberry sauce, because I love blueberries, and have cake crumble on it the other night. Then I thought, why not just make a frozen version of blueberry crumble? Ka-Pow! Done.
I love going through old notebooks and finding random letters, recipes or notes I’ve jotted down from God knows when, where or even why.
Welcome back!! To be quite honest, I didn’t think you would actually come back. I have very low self-esteem. The fact that you returned helped a lot. I thank you for that.
To be completely honest, the only reason I bothered to make this ice cream is so I could call it Richard Persimmons Ice Cream. It made me giggle when I thought about it so I wanted to do it. I’ve always been fascinated by Persimmons and Richard Simmons for that matter.
Still have the roasted bananas from the pecan pie recipe? Good.. get them out of the fridge and pull the bananas out of the mix while it’s still cold. It’s easier to pick out the bananas while the mix is still cold. Place the bananas on a paper towel to soak up all the excess liquid.
Growing up I loved candy bars. I didn’t reach 325 pounds by eating carrots, that’s for sure.
In case you haven’t noticed a pattern, I’m a big fan of Dulce de Leche. Just a little. I really like the smooth and creamy texture of Dulce de Leche. I use it as a spread for pretty much everything. On toast in the morning with my coffee, a banana, swirl it in ice cream or just straight off my finger if I need a sweet fix. It’s my house and I’ll do what I want!
