Back at it. I love my Baileys. I was going to call this The Poor Man’s Baileys but I’m not quite there just yet. I am working on it however.
We all have fear. For reasons only we know. We may not even know. I think it’s what you fear that says a lot about you.
We are always looking for something or someone to tell us what we need to hear. If someone tells us the hard truth, we’re pissed off or offended. Nowadays, we’re always offended. This person said something we didn’t like. People don’t want to hear the truth. They want to hear what makes them feel better or normal.
Regardless of what you’ve been told. People are not a mirror of ourselves. I never could grasp this thinking and until I let go of it and realized for myself. Then was I free from this belief.
I was on my way to work this morning when I saw a woman wearing the ugliest purple lipstick. My first thought was, “Someone read this months beauty magazine.”
I don’t know what you’re doing right now. You could be behind a desk, in the gym, the cashier watching the line grow longer or waiting for the doctor while the TV spits out some shitty talk show. No matter where or what you are doing. Chances are you are like me. Angry. How in the hell is “The Talk” still on TV? How is Kathie Lee Gifford still employed? Who’s eating at that shitty cupcake bakery? We all know someone or someplace that we think is a hack. Yet, they are still employed. That overrated overpriced cupcake shop that has a line out the door. This makes you wonder but more importantly it pisses you off. Let this be your motivation. Don’t look at the millionaires and try to figure them out. It is slim to none that you will be a millionaire too. I’m sure if you asked a millionaire who they wonder about as to how another millionaire made their money they would wonder the same thing. We all have someone we wonder …
Failure is much more than just falling on your face and starting over. Getting up and starting over is actually the pretty easy part. Failure goes much deeper and personal.
